Finally I got time to make my promise work and writing a blog. I'm already here in Los Angeles since five weeks. I already got used to the city, just the heat and the air-conditioning in the houses I still have to get used to. Until now I never could go to the beach, as I was really busy with school so far.
The school is even better then I expected. The teachers are all people from the business and they know exactly how it is to be at the beginning of a career. Through their techniques and experiences, which they can give us on our way, I learned a lot in the past four weeks. Even my live right now is just about school and studying it makes me really happy to learn as much as I can.
We have different classes for example theatre history, acting, acting for camera, improv, dance, etc... But my favorite one right now is "stage combat" where we learn some hits and how to fall in a save way. The teachers are very professional and through their long US Army and Stage Combat experience they bring very interesting knowledge into the classes. Just last week I learned how to make the right american military greeting, even that wasn't part of the class it was very entertaining. And if I ever play in a army movie, I would have to know it anyway.
Also I do have a lot of fun to work in front of the camera. Even if I'm always very nervous, it's a great feeling. But other than that I also can feel how much work and patients it needs to just film one small scene.
Right now I do a speech workshop to learn the american accent.
So, I will get back to my books and will keep you posted as soon as possible.
Lovely greetings from the sunny Hollywood, Los Angeles.
